My name is René Jensen. I have been working with IT since 1989, starting as a IT Coordinator after 10 years in different roles in the Danish army.
Left the army in 1997 for a job as IT support in Bosch Telecom Mobile.
After a period as supporter, I was trained as a Novell Netware administrator taking care of the Novell environment and the backup at Bosch Telecom Mobile together with another colleague.
When Bosch Telecom Mobile was sold the company split up in production and R&D. R&D was bought by Siemens Mobile Phones, here I became responsible for UNIX installations: Sun Solaris, HP Unix, True 64. So here my real passion started for Unix.
Now a days I work with Linux and open source which I enjoy a lot. Been working with this since 2008 where I started beside Sun Solaris to work with Debian. This was in my position as Unix administrator at DK-Hostmaster today Punkt DK.
Today I have gained skills in the Linux OS, Installing, securing, automising, virtualising and containerising Linux and also a large portfolio of open source tools. So I have through the years gained a broad knowledge in this area.
